Eurotunnel, which yesterday threw out a debt restructuring proposal put forward by Deutsche Bank and other bondholders, has asked market regulators to look at the motives behind the bank's proposal.

A spokeswoman for the Arco bondholders labelled as "absolutely ludicrous" questions over whether the Deutsche restructuring proposal had been put forward to allow bondholders time to trade Eurotunnel debt.
