Eurozone meets on new Greek aid deal

Eurozone finance ministers are discussing Greece's bailout package after Athens agreed a raft of painful reforms at the eleventh hour

Eurozone finance ministers were meeting late Thursday to decide whether to push ahead with new aid for Greece after the government reached an eleventh hour agreement on a raft of painful reforms needed to secure the deal and avoid default.

Greek Prime Minister Lucas Papademos said that talks with creditors on securing further aid for the country were successfully completed after a pending dispute over pension cuts among political leaders supporting his government was resolved.
