The European Private Equity and Venture Capital Association announced it will change its name to Invest Europe, in addition to the appointment of a new chairman.

The Brussels-based lobby group said in a statement on Friday it is to be renamed Invest Europe. The statement said: "The new visual identity will include a description of the association's member groups - Venture Capital, Private Equity, Infrastructure and Long-term Investors - and the strapline, 'The voice of private capital'". The brand will be launched in October 2015.
