Ex-Barclays chairman takes blockchain board role

City veteran Sir David Walker has been appointed the chairman of a London-based blockchain start-up launched by former Chi-X co-founder Peter Randall, as bitcoin’s underlying technology continues to gain momentum in mainstream finance.

Walker has been appointed non-executive chairman of the board of SETL, a London-based company launched earlier this year by Randall, a co-founder of pan-European trading venue Chi-X, SETL said.
