Ex-BlackRock manager’s new venture gets nod from FCA

Andrew Williamson-Jones, a senior portfolio manager on $1.6 billion of global equity funds at BlackRock until 2012, has received authorisation from the Financial Conduct Authority for his new venture, Halo Investment Management.

Andrew Williamson-Jones, a senior portfolio manager on $1.6 billion of global equity funds at BlackRock until 2012, has received authorisation from the Financial Conduct Authority for his new venture, Halo Investment Management.

Williamson-Jones has been working on setting up the new firm since September 2013 and has brought in former BNY Mellon exec and Investment Management Association chair, Julian Tregoning, as chairman. Williamson-Jones' partner, former headhunter Edward Amies, has a business admin and marketing role.
