Ex-Citi banker to be Standard Life Aberdeen’s new CEO

Stephen Bird will start his new role on 1 July as Keith Skeoch steps down after five years

Stephen Bird has been appointed as chief executive of asset manager Standard Life Aberdeen, replacing Keith Skeoch who steps down after five years in the job and 14 years on the board.

Bird will start his new role on 1 July. In a 30 June statement, the firm said that Skeoch will step down by the end of the third quarter.
