Commerzbank's former head of equity trading, Phillip Wale, has joined a UK asset management firm to manage a multi-strategy equity fund worth at least $500m (€414m).

Wale has joined Cardinal Asset Management, a hedge fund partly-owned by UK fund manager Isis.
