Garrett Moran, the former head of the private equity division at Credit Suisse First Boston, will join Marsh & McLennan Capital, the private equity arm of US financial services group Marsh & McLennan, as a senior adviser.

Moran has previously spent 19 years at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (DLJ), where he was co-head of investment banking. He was a key figure in the development of DLJ's high-yield bond business, and then oversaw the development of DLJ's market-leading venture capital fund.
