John Cryan, the former chief executive of Deutsche Bank, has joined the board of a small UK-based cyber-security firm — his first role since being ousted from the German lender in April last year.

Cryan was named chair of X Cyber Group late last month, the company confirmed. X Cyber, which was set up by former UK government intelligence officers, offers cyber-security software to a range of industries.
