HarbourVest Global Private Equity has appointed a former FN100 Woman and private equity heavyweight as a non-executive director.

Francesca Barnes was most recently non-executive director of Electra Private Equity, a FTSE 250 investment trust, from 2013 to 2016. In that role, she chaired its valuations committee.
