Ex-FRC chair to lead Carlyle’s UK buyout and European healthcare investments

Dingemans will work closely with Carlyle’s European buyout co-heads Marco De Benedetti and Gregor Boehm

Simon Dingemans, former chair of accounting watchdog the Financial Reporting Council, has joined Carlyle as a managing director.

He will lead Carlyle’s UK buyout and European healthcare activities, the firm said in a statement. Dingemans left the FRC in May – after less than nine months in the role – because of conflicts between other roles he wanted to take and his responsibilities at the regulator.
