Gary Cohn, the former president of investment bank Goldman Sachs, has been appointed as vice-chair of US tech business IBM, the company said in a statement.

Cohn was president and chief operating officer of Goldman before leaving the bank in 2017 to take up a role as an economic adviser to US President Donald Trump.
