Ex-Goldman trader-turned hip hop artist launches LA venture firm

A former Goldman Sachs trader who quit to pursue a career as a hip hop performer before returning to finance, has left JPMorgan to launch his own venture capital firm in Los Angeles.

Jihan Bowes-Little worked for Goldman from 2002 until January 2009. He left the bank's European credit default swap trading team to focus on his parallel career as a hip hop and spoken-word poetry performer under the alias Metis.
