Craven magics up two advisory posts

Former head of institutional business, Emea, at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, to advise Akzo Nobel and Mitchells and Butlers

Paul Craven has been appointed to advise two separate UK pension schemes, after stepping down as head of institutional business, Emea, at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, he told Financial News.

He has become investment commentator at the Akzo Nobel (CPS) pension scheme. Akzo Nobel took over UK chemical group ICI in 2007. Its scheme entered into a £1.4 billion longevity insurance contract with Swiss Re in 2012. Last year, the ICI scheme raised its inflation and interest rate hedging targets to 80% of liabilities - a relatively high level.
