An ex-HSBC trader who says he was unfairly sacked told a tribunal that he still has nightmares and suffers “extreme stress and trauma” after experiencing years of racist and homophobic abuse while working at the bank.

Former derivatives rates trader Yann Adem, who HSBC fired after nine years in February 2022, brought a London employment tribunal claim against the bank for unfair dismissal, whistleblowing detriments, disability discrimination and breach of contract.
