Sir David Prosser, former chief executive of UK insurer Legal & General, has joined the South African banking group Investec as a non-executive director.

Prosser, who served as chief executive at L&G from 1991 until his retirement on January 1 this year, was one of the longest-serving chief executives of any FTSE-100-listed company.
