Former Moore Capital Management trader Julian Rifat was sentenced to 19 months in prison Thursday, after sharing insider stock tips in exchange for cash, a family holiday and a luxury car.

Rifat pleaded guilty in November to one count of insider dealing. Prosecutors for the Financial Conduct Authority alleged he had passed inside information received through his job at Moore to Graeme Shelley, a former stockbroker at Novum Securities.
