Frank Zarb, former chairman and chief executive of Nasdaq, has joined Hellman & Friedman, the San Francisco-based private equity firm, as a senior advisor and managing director.
Zarb left Nasdaq - in which Hellman & Friedman holds a 10% stake - in September 2001, after preparing the firm for its initial public offering. Zarb said: "Hellman & Friedman is unique among private equity firms in its approach and record. I share the firm's focused and disciplined investment philosophy."
