Royal Bank of Canada’s former chief financial officer is suing the bank for nearly C$50m (£28.5m) after it dismissed her over a personal relationship with a colleague. 

Nadine Ahn is claiming wrongful dismissal against the Canadian lender, filing a case with the Ontario Superior Court of Justice on 8 August. 

The chief financial officer was fired in April for being in “contravention” of the bank’s code of conduct
