Kweku Adoboli, the former trader who was convicted of fraud after losing UBS $2.3bn through unauthorised trading, is set to be deported to Ghana on September 18, according to a person familiar with the matter.

The UK's Home Office has secured Adoboli a seat on a “deportation charter flight” to Ghana that is due to depart the UK next Tuesday, the person said in a note circulated to people campaigning to keep the 38-year-old in the UK and seen by Financial News.
