John Nannes, a senior anti-trust lawyer at the US Department of Justice, has rejoined Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, adding muscle to one of the largest anti-trust legal teams on either side of the Atlantic.
Nannes left Skadden, Arps in 1998 after 21 years with the US law firm to become deputy assistant attorney general in the antitrust division under the Clinton administration. In January this year, Nannes became acting assistant attorney general, a role he remained in for the first five months of the Bush administration.
