Execution founder makes £3m from HBOS sale

Nick Finegold, the founder of independent broker Execution and a former head of Deutsche Bank's European trading business, has made about £3m (€4.4m) from the sale of a 10% stake in the business he founded five years ago.

HBOS yesterday said it has bought a 9.9% stake in Execution, valuing the London-based equity broker at £100m and Finegold's holding, which after the sale amounts to about 25%, at about £25m.
