EY appoints new leaders for key audit and tax work

EY has decided to split the roles managing partner of assurance and UK head of audit

EY UK is changing the heads of teams that manage its consulting, tax, assurance and audit departments, as the firm navigates the turbulence triggered by the coronavirus outbreak.

The Big Four firm's 18 May announcement sees the appointment of Benoit Laclau as its managing partner for consulting. Jeff Soar will lead its tax arm, Kath Barrow will head up assurance and Andrew Walton will become head of audit. The promotions will be effective from 1 July.
