EY hires top City legal gun to review failed break-up plan

Global Big Four accountancy firm EY has called in a top legal adviser to assess why its widely-publicised attempt to split the firm into audit and consultancy arms failed.

Lord David Gold, known for similar work at crisis-hit firms, is set to review the issues that caused the firm’s Project Everest plan ultimately to fail, the Financial Timesreported.
