F&C Asset Management has become the latest fund manager to look to profit from the opportunities afforded by concerns over global warming after launching a dedicated fund to invest in businesses attempting to tackle climate change.

The F&C Global Climate Opportunities Fund aims to profit on some of the estimated £7bn (€10bn) that will be allocated to the green investment sector this year. That compares with £1.5bn pumped into the sector 10 years ago.
