Foreign & Colonial Management (F&C) has snared John Hayes, Morley Fund Management's deputy head of research, to become a senior fund manager on its UK equity desk.

Hayes, who has 12 years' fund management experience, will focus on technology-oriented stocks with a view to how they should fit into balanced portfolios.
