Facebook and Google duck questions about earnings from scam ads

Facebook and Google avoided questions from UK lawmakers about how much money they make from advertisements for unregulated financial products.

Treasury committee chair Mel Stride wrote to Facebook and Google on 1 October to ask what they had earned from financial advertising by companies that haven't been approved by the Financial Conduct Authority. The Treasury Committee published their responses on 29 October.
