The FBI is warning in an internal memo of the possibility of armed protests at all 50 state capitols and in Washington, DC, ahead of President-elect Joe Biden’s 20 January inauguration, a law-enforcement official said.
The 11 January memo warns demonstrations may start later this week and continue through the inauguration, the official said, as federal agencies brace for the possibility of more violence following the deadly riot at the US Capitol on 6 January.
