A new committee of regulators including the Financial Conduct Authority and the Competition and Markets Authority will oversee how open banking technology is rolled out and regulated.

The FCA and Payments Systems Regulator will chair what is being dubbed a joint regulatory oversight committee to oversee an initiative that has been fraught with issues since open banking technology was launched four years ago. The Competition and Markets Authority and the Treasury will also sit on the committee.
