FCA approves London Stock Exchange as first Pisces operator

The City regulator is gearing up for a new private share trading platform later this year

The Financial Conduct Authority has approved the London Stock Exchange as the first operator of a new type of private stock market that the government hopes will boost UK listings.

The City regulator has given the LSE the green light to launch a Private Intermittent Securities and Capital Exchange System, or Pisces, according to a statement.
