The UK financial watchdog has begun a preliminary investigation into the alleged sexual harassment of a female former analyst at a $90bn asset management company in the City.

Representatives from the Financial Conduct Authority have met Nathalie Abildgaard, a former employee of IFM Investors, an Australian investment manager with an office on Gresham Street, to discuss her claim that a senior manager sexually harassed her on a work trip.
