Employees at the Financial Conduct Authority’s London office fear they will “miss Christmas” as bosses ask them to return to the workplace despite concerns that the new variant of coronavirus makes the move more dangerous.

FCA bosses told London-based staff that they would be required “to spend 20% of their time in the office throughout December” in a note published to the UK markets watchdog’s intranet on 30 November, seen by Financial News.
