FCA fights to cut approval times in digital authorisations push

Regulator begins digitising key forms after feeling the heat over slow response times

The Financial Conduct Authority has begun digitising its authorisation process in the face of criticism that it has been too slow to allow new firms to launch in the UK.

Testing has begun on the most common paperwork — the so-called Form A — and the FCA wants to digitise the remainder of its authorisation forms thereafter, a spokesperson said.
