FCA picks former prime minister’s spokesperson as new comms chief

The Financial Conduct Authority has hired Helen Bower-Easton, a former official spokesperson for the prime minister, as its new communications director.

Bower-Easton was the prime minister's lead spokesperson between May 2015 and February 2017, straddling the reigns of David Cameron and Theresa May, before joining the Foreign and Commonwealth Office as director of communications.
