FCA puts block on payouts to Odey bosses

Regulator attempts to quell fears that staff will be able to walk away with major payouts

The Financial Conduct Authority has banned Odey Asset Management from giving "unusual or significant" payouts to its bosses as sexual allegations against its founder continue to rock the prominent City hedge fund.

While clients can still withdraw their money, the regulator has effectively put a freeze on the firm selling or transferring its own assets, a note on the FCA register shows, after Crispin Odey was ousted from his eponymous firm.
