Some Financial Conduct Authority staff are continuing to press for a vote on union recognition, as the markets watchdog attempts to move past a turbulent period last year that included the first strike action in its history.

Workplace union Unite was rebuffed last year as it attempted to secure formal representation for FCA staff amid an overhaul to pay and perks that saw widespread bonuses axed in favour of performance-linked salary increases at the regulator.
