Some of the UK’s top banks have been contacted by the Financial Conduct Authority to make sure they are prepared for a potential cyber attack as tensions between Russia and Ukraine escalate.

Some of the biggest firms under the UK regulator’s watch have been contacted with a so-called ‘Dear CEO‘ letter, asking them if they have adequate systems and controls to manage cyber risk in light of the diplomatic stand-off threatening the region, according to a person familiar with the matter.
