The chief executive of the UK’s top financial regulator has called for a "much broader commitment" to open up market access amid uncertainty about future trade in the world economy.

Andrew Bailey, CEO of the UK's Financial Conduct Authority, said the regulatory system developed since the financial crisis doesn't do enough to support free trade and the movement of capital.
