Fears over London’s competitiveness grow as New York catches up in latest finance rankings

London is no longer the clear leader among financial centres, according to a new report, as New York moves up the rankings to tie with the City.

A study from the City of London Corporation published on 30 March found that other financial hubs have grown faster than London, adding to fears that the Square Mile's position as a global leader is slipping.
