Ex-FRM investment chief re-emerges at convertibles specialist

Hedge fund industry veteran joins Jeremy Herrmann's Ferox Capital after two-year absence from industry

The former chief investment officer of Financial Risk Management has re-emerged in the funds industry nearly two-and-a-half-years after leaving the fund of hedge funds manager, which is now part of Man Group.

John Beech, a veteran of the hedge fund industry who was FRM's CIO from 2001 until his departure from the firm in May 2012, has joined Ferox Capital. The London-based convertibles manager was launched in early 2000 by chief investment officer Jeremy Herrmann, along with former colleagues from JP Morgan.
