Fidelity Investments has hired Achim Gloger, a German mutual fund and reinsurance sell-side specialist from Barclays Capital to front expansion into the European fixed-income market.

Gloger will be pan-European business development director, roll out new bond funds to extend Fidelity's range in Europe and be responsible for UK fixed-income products.
