Fidelity International has appointed a former head of sales at Goldman Sachs asset management to lead its new office in Edinburgh and act as an intermediary with institutional investors.

The US asset manager hired Stephen Hay as head of office in Edinburgh and head of UK equity business development. Hay will take over the day-to-day management of the branch, and will manage the relationship between the Edinburgh-based UK equity investment team and institutional investors.
