Fidelity International has appointed a head of distribution for its UK institutional business from Scottish Widows Investment Partnership, where he spent 10 years in a similar role.

Ominder Dhillon joined Fidelity International in the newly-created role on December 1, and reports to Mark Miller, head of its UK institutional business. Dhillon was head of UK institutional at Swip until his departure last month. He worked at the asset manager since 2000, before which he worked for John Morrell & Associates in both an investment consulting and investment management capacity.
