Fidelity Investments, the $1 trillion (€850bn) asset manager, has hired Seema Hingorani as director of equity research and Michael McCauley as head of trading at Pyramis Global Advisors, its new institutional business.

Hingorani has joined from Mirador Capital Management, a hedge fund manager she set up last year. She has also worked for Pequot Capital Management and Andor Capital Management, two large US hedge fund managers.
