Fidelity International CEO expects workplace disruption for next 18 months

Prediction comes as UK companies begin to look beyond the pandemic and assess how their employees can return to work once lockdown restrictions have been eased

Anne Richards, the chief executive of Fidelity International, says it is unlikely her entire workforce will be back in the office before the end of 2021, demonstrating that City bosses are not expecting a rapid return to normality in the wake of the Covid-19 crisis.

"We don't think we'll have 100% of staff back in the workplace for 18 months probably, at a minimum," Richards said during a City Week Covid-19 webinar on 6 May.
