Fidelity recruits alternatives chief from Aberdeen Standard

Andrew McCaffery will take charge of Fidelity’s multi-asset, solutions design and real estate teams

Fidelity International has hired an executive from Aberdeen Standard Investments to fill the newly created position of chief investment officer for alternative assets.

Andrew McCaffery will join the £221bn fund manager in July, the company announced on April 4. He was at Aberdeen Asset Management for eight years, and at Aberdeen Standard Investments he was most recently global head of strategic client investments following its merger last year.
