Fidelity is the most popular asset manager among the fund-pickers in charge of putting the investment industry's wares in front of the UK general public, according to new research.
Fundscape, a research house that specialises in the retail market, canvassed 48 "gatekeeper" firms - fund supermarkets like Hargreaves Lansdown, rating agencies like Morningstar and discretionary fund managers like Cazenove Capital Management and Charles Stanley - and found Fidelity has the most funds on their collective buylists - 243.
