Finance Watch secretary general to resign

The lobbying group formed after the financial crisis by MEPs is beginning a search next week to replace Thierry Philipponnat

The secretary general of Finance Watch is set to resign as part of a raft of senior management changes announced by the European lobby group formed after the financial crisis by a group of MEPs.

Thierry Philipponnat, the former global head of equity derivatives at NYSE Liffe who was appointed as Finance Watch's first secretary general when it launched in 2011, plans to step down on May 16, the group announced on Monday.
