Building on a respectable third place last year, First State Investments went two better for 2014 to claim top spot in the environmental, social and corporate governance implementation of the year category.

The firm fought off stiff competition from Impax Asset Management to record a 0.3-point victory. In third place was Hermes Investment Management.
