The Swiss financial watchdog has picked a new chief executive after its former boss left citing stress in the wake of the collapse of Credit Suisse last year.

The European Central Bank’s director general of horizontal line supervision Stefan Walter will take over the reins at Finma on 1 April, according to a 24 January statement.
